Bridor is a bakery product manufacturing company founded by Louis Le Duff in 1988. The objective for this exhibit was to get attendees to feel as if they stepped into an actual bakery, as opposed to your typical trade show booth. Food is very much a sensory product, so the team wanted people walking by to be able to smell fresh bread baking, see beautiful pastries on display, and taste delicious samples.
The idea was to design an exhibit that neither looked nor felt anything like a traditional trade show booth. The client wanted to create a welcoming environment that felt more like your local coffee shop than an event exhibit. The goal was for guests to feel welcome to come up and grab a sample, sit and chat at the tables, or interact with the staff.
Space was a real issue, and there was a lot of back and forth with the client in the design process to get all of the kitchen appliances to fit seamlessly in the 20’x20′ area. Because this was a fully-functioning for all the kitchen equipment, i.e. the oven, cooling racks, freezer. There needed to be working space for the chef, as well as a display area for the finished baked goods. Due to such limited space, The Trade Group had to get creative; combining design elements with functionality was key. Podiums with under-lighting really drew attention to the bakery items and doubled as counter space for the chefs to utilize. We erected a wall in the back of the space to create a cozier feel and were also able to utilize that wall space to display more of Bridor’s amazing products.
The resulting booth was absolutely perfect. From the tall white chef’s hats, to the black and white checkerboard floor, to the cafe-style seating; every last detail was designed to transport attendees to a classic French bakery. It was definitely one of the most unique and eye-catching booths at NRA 2019 and made a lasting impact on all the event guests.
