The Brief
Our client Kreate asked us to build a mobile Deliveroo experience with the ability to sample food from local partners. The unit had to be mobile, easy to transport and make an experience that would allow you to live out the Deliveroo consumer journey to bring brand awareness to the public.
The Solution
The creative was to produce a double decker bus with a 4 room escape room game for consumers to go through and solve clues to progress into further rooms. It began with a briefing room on the ground floor followed by 4 rooms upstairs: Order (bedroom); Prepare (kitchen); Deliver (outside); Enjoy (living room). On the lower floor would be the final escape room and a full prep kitchen with hatches front and back to serve samples.
The Activation
We used a double decker bus that was full stripped and refitted to create all the rooms required. A full working prep kitchen included fridge, heating, sink, counter space and 2 hatches for serving. The top deck was split into 4 and all the furniture and props within the rooms were fabricated to ensure there was still enough room for 4 consumers to safely move through. Xquisite created all the game elements including the planning and production. The final room used a Photo Booth for data capture and a hidden ladder to escape within a fake sofa. Externally we fitted a weatherproof screen and a large branded awning to increase the activation footprint.
Xquisite provided all logistics and maintenance for the bus taking it to over 70 locations across the UK over 9 months.
The Results
The tour was a huge success with large queues at every location. The client has now asked to use the vehicle for 2020 with 90 locations planned.
