The Brief

SES brief to M was to Design, manage and deliver their global tier 1 events consisting of seven shows per annum of 100sqm and above over a four year contracted period.
The brief also tasked M with delivering the best commercial streamlined solution whilst offering a best in class execution.

The Solution

For over four years, M delivered a reusable, modular solution that could either be compressed or expanded to suit various show sizes from 100 sq. metres to 400 sq. metres. The content had to include a number of demo locations , multiple sister company representation as well as meeting and hospitality requirements.

In delivering the solution, M considered how the show stand would change in order to avoid delivering a ‘cookie-cutter’ approach and designing a stand which was adaptable visually in regards to territory and therefore audience specific.

Much preparation and engineering was put into the concept design to ensure the durability and futureproofing of the show kit. The process included material selections, construction usability, packing and storage protection as well as climate control tolerance.

Understanding the programme requirements around the world also required logistics management to ensure that the right kit was delivered at the right location at the right time throughout the annual programme.

The Activation

The activation was heavily influenced by modular demo stations and graphical opportunities to promote and support multiple products and sister companies relevant to each show.
Consistent requirements included sound proofed office environments, video presentations and a live demo allowance which defaulted to static rolling demo solutions. A meet and greet reception was included in the overall scheme with data capture facility.
Other considerations needed to address catering, hospitality furnishing, high level branding, customer and show lighting and multiple floor coverings. Further more, meeting room booking systems and roaming data capture devices were deployed at each show.

Kit control and onsite quality checks were part and parcel of the maintenance plan. This allowed for refurbishment allowances and considerations – ensuring show by show success.

The Results

M’s promise and goal was to deliver each installation as if it were as fresh as the first one all the way through to end of contract installation. So successful was the four year programme that M has just been awarded the next four year programme in a competitive pitch situation.
